I must confess that I, too, would like to see these items but can understand some sensitivity in posting them.

I think we would all like to see them. I for one love to look through pictures of razors even if they may have a "dark" or unique history to them.

Otay men! This one certainly has an Officer's Name on it! You will wind up kind of liking the pics as they come with some interesting documentation! Seems it was a gift to an Admiral from "Johnny"If I did not have this documentation, I might burn it!

The picture on the handle and inscription on the box are modern.
There was not such technology at that time to print that. And
    handwriting is modern. IMO.
    Grizzley1 and sigit666 like this.

Manah is to be commended not only for the info posted in this thread but for all his previous posts regarding razor manufacturer's history and basic general information he has provided to us all. This gentleman is quite knowledgable and should be recognized for the tremendous amount of razor information he has shared with us in so many posts in the past.

I have purchased several razors from Manah and I trust the quality of his product as well as the quality of the information he sets forth in this forum. I am sure I am not the only member who feels this way. Thanks Manah. Your historical information is always appreciated.

Were not images like that done by 'stamping' the image into the scale, and just wiping an ink across it so that it remained in the depressions?

That said, this type of razor has been mentioned previously on SRP:

    http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ler-razor.html
    http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ght-razor.html
    http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...-straight.html

    So this isn't a one-off - at least a few were made.

I really don't know if it's authentic or not. But I would hold onto it until such a time as they are proven conclusively to be either real or fake...

I doubt this has anything to do with the razor, but March 4, 1945(the date of the inscription) was the first failed German atomic weapon test.

Caydel, I think, you don't know, it was impossible to print the leader of totalitarian regime on such things and where he looks very funny.
Many such pictures on the razors and knives, with Hitler and Swastika were made in 70s in Texas.IMO.

The impressions and writing on the scales are in a light hot stamp. They can be felt with a fingernail. Lots of razors were made with colored hot stamps before the days of Hitlers rise. I thought the writing in the box was interesting as to the script on some letters. Folks don't print like that these days..
Anyway, I don't much care. I did not pay much for it and do not openly display it.It is something to bring out when talking of razor history only and only with those who I feel would not be offended by it, such as in this thread. If so many wanted to see it, I would show it. If one person would have been offended by it, I would not have. Moving on!

I could definitely see them being more modern but whomever wrote in the box was around in the era of the nazis. My Grandmother, who's older brother died D Day x2, wrote and still writes like that, albeit a bit shakier now days due to age. It's definitely the script of a person who primarily wrote in cursive and primarily wrote for communication rather than typing it up like us heathens. I'm no expert on that era but I've never seen anything with hitler's image on it from that time period other than official propaganda.
