    Default Enders Razors

Those of you that know me or have had dealings with me, know my surname name or last name is "Enders" not a very common name here in the states. I hear it is more common in Europe, i.e. Germany and Austria from what I'm told. When I came across these razors, I had to have them. I'm 47 years old and I've never seen seen them before. Maybe this surge or resurge in shaving has brought them out of people's attics to sell on Ebay. I thought it was cool to have a Vintage Safety razor, be it a single blade, with my name on it....Here are some pics enjoy. Oh, from what I'm told, some of these are circa 1907.....I really don't know. Maybe somebody does....

Congrats on your find... that is really great. They look to be in very nice condition too.

Hey Rich, nice collection and how cool to have your name on it. Here are some screen captures from Robert Wait's highly recommended Safety Razor Compendium.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I bought this 5/8 round point Wm. Enders Oak Leaf SR off the 'bay several weeks ago. She has a chipped scale, some staining on the blade, and a bit of light rust on the tang near the pivot hole, but otherwise she's in good shape. When I get a few hours to myself, I'll try to shine her up & get her a new set of scales.

    Cheers,

    Larry

I just had a shave with an Enders safety razor last week. I have several types of Enders razors including this neat old boxed set that includes a strop and a devise that holds the blades so that they can be either honed or stropped and re-used multiple times.

    Regards - Walt
