I've had luck at antique shops; that's really the only place I've been. It can really be hit or miss. Usually, if you can get off the beaten path you'll do better, cause the place won't be combed through. Then again, they may have less stuff. There are no hard and fast rules. Gotta do the leg work if you wanna hit gold.
Oh, estate sales can be good too.

I can't ever find crap. The Wade and Butcher is pure junk. Send it my way for proper disposal.
Great find! Seriously, you will be happy with the restores. I keep looking around at many places to no avail. Good to see that there are good things surfacing.

This is true, I go all over the place but when all else fails I go to a small place in a small town where a guy named Bob sells razor's he has no clue what they're worth and let's 'em go for cheap! I think I'm the only one that knows about this place. It is always stocks with razor's.

Thanked: 60I stopped into a goodwill near my house and they said they get them from time to time. But I found these 2 in what would best be described as "2nd hand" shop. They had a large amount of random mismatched cutlery in the window so I asked them if they ever got "vintage staright razors" and she led me to a case that had 3 of them.
I am going to check some of the antique stores here in Brooklyn and see what I find.
