Indeed. I train with a rather large gentleman (6'5" 280) who is always talking about how when sparring, he's got me (is more skilled, more experienced, almost as fast, 3X stronger, and outweighs me by 100 pounds, and is 6-7 inches taller PLUS has a long reach for his height, and gifted kicks...and a great eye for position/intuition) but if I had one of "them straightedges" we'd be a little more even. Now, we work defenses against knives all the time, and those are knives that you can stab, slash, overhand and he's damned good at it. Now, he's seen what an edge on a straight can look like (we discuss edges all the time...he's got a competition axe that can wipe the hair off the back of your hand) so he knows how insanely sharp they can be....but that really doesn't make them much better a weapon, does it?

Sorry for the total OT ramble.
