Thanked: 3Huh... what are the scales like on these? because at that price it is way cheaper to buy one of these, toss out the blade, and use the scales on a better razor...

Yeah, they're all pinned by a machine with 1/8 inch pressure-welded brass rivets. I had to work on one for a guy who was using it for a lecture on how straights were used as weapons (and why they aren't good ones) and it was a hell of a time trying to un-pin it.
AND the scales were 1/4" thick. Cheap and gross.

But as practice blades the price is right.
Practice stropping and honing...
Could be better than a butter knife
as it has the same "handle".
Folk are always looking for a clunker....
I suspect they are some nasty stainless
but when very dull would make a good practice
razor to not nick up a good strop.

Thanked: 3True... But the last time I checked blade wielding maniacs don't really conform to the ideal of common sense.
In any case, I am now curious about the content of that lecture. And was the horrible 2 dollar razor the only prop, or was it there for comparison purposes to a better one?

BKratchmer.
I am glad you told us that. I was going to buy some to use the scales. Glad I didn't.
