Damned cool name for a razor though!
Indeed it is. Have you had some of this particular kind I showed? Or you just mean "Magnetic" branded?

Gentlemen, the issue of magnetized blade is not that significant for me; I'd rather like to know if that'd be good at all. I've asked the seller for additional pictures, we'll see...

Ha. So I got additional pictures. Not too high quality, but you can see something. Not Solingen for sure, no more marks on another side of the shank.

What do you think, would you yourselves go for it?

    regards,
    Matt

As regards the magnetism, my unmarked blades perform no better or worse (given the usual some razors are better than other parameters), I only mentioned it as that one's marked 'Magnetic' and it seemed an odd thing to fake.

The second question requires a slight disclaimer. I've only bought razors online from one respected vendor (blueprinciple above) and get mine from flea markets/antique stores and the like where I can see and handle the blades. Having said that. I do like the looks of that one and, unless there were problems that are invisible in those photos and I saw it at a reasonable price, I would go for it. If it were a bit pricey I'd probably pass since the D of GROUND is closer to the bevel than the E of EXTRA. Sorry if that's not that helpful, it's your move in the end. Good looking piece though.

I'm wondering if the one in question is just a cheap rip-off of such a treat, or just an economic version

    Matt
I am wondering about this one too, as I just got one thats very similar (also Special, Magnetic, diamond steel, no country of origin stamped on it) and was wondering about it's history/country/age etc.
