    tried one of those Braun things - terrible, didn't even giv eme a shave it was that bad.
    I've been uning a Philishave for many years, so long the battery doesn't charge (use it mains only). Since using straights the electric hasn't come out of the drawer.. that was about 3 months ago - never looked back siince.

    When I was in the service we used to use them if you didn't shave that morning (just because you WORKED all day and all night is not an excuse not to be clean shaven), It would always irritate the hell out of my face.
