All three of these makes are well talked about and well thought of, and any of them will provide you with an excellent shave.

I would just order the one you like the look of the best and enjoy!

    Good luck!
Stubear, how would you now compare the TI to the Dovo and Boker?

To be honest, they are all excellent and they all give good shaves. In a blind shave test, with just the feel of the edge on your skin, I'd be hard pressed to tell them apart.

All of them are well made, well finished, lay flat on the hone and give great shaves. I certainly wouldnt say that one is better than the others, they are all good. If you buy a razor from any of these companies, it should serve you well!

Really the only thing that would make me pick between them is looks. And thats really down to personal preference and what you like in a razor!

I'm just going to throw my hat in with previous posters and say, in spite of all the fuss on other forums and on this one:

DOVO, TI, and Böker are all very fine makers of razors. Although some characteristics may vary, you can safely choose the razor that best fits your fancy from these makers and know you will recieve a quality product.

    As you were.

I've had Bökers, TIs and Dovos. The main difference is how well the honing is done.

    BTW one more link:

The search function works for those whom bother to use it right.

A big -1 on this, for various reasons:

    1. Without a decent sample size (a hundred, rather than a dozen razors), such sweeping remarks can be horribly misleading, especially since Dovo uses advanced production techniques whereas TI is basically an artisan shop.
    2. Much depends on who honed your razor, and with which hones/pastes/sprays. So much so that I would be hesitant to benchmark the durability of the edge of two identical razors, let alone two completely different razors.
    3. What is "TI"? Or, what is "Dovo"? Both companies have wide ranges of products, from small to large, heavy to lightweight 1/4 to singing full hollow. Are you seriously suggesting that, across these products ranges, TI beats Dovo?
    4. Dovo's QA has become the de facto standard. If you take sufficiently large sample sizes, you will be surprised by the number of TI razors with quality problems. Mind you, I am not saying that Dovo are perfect. But I know of vendors who have made shave ready and sold several hundreds of these razors without major problems. The same simply cannot be said for TI (based, however, on much smaller sample sizes, because TI produces far less razors).

In short, I can understand anyone who is proud of their razor and thinks it is the best one ever made. But I would encourage you not to fall for the typical fanboy behaviour you will find in several other shaving related forums. Just because someone with a big ego tells you ITEM_A is good and ITEM_B is bad does not mean that is actually the case. Variables (like quality of honing) set aside, a lot is down to personal preference: Even if Filarmonica razors were as good as some say (which, in my experience, they are not), I would never want to own one because I want my razors with original scales, and Filarmonica scales are... well, let us keep this gentlemanly.

    Regards,
    Robin

    Big +1 on this.

However, I, for some reason, like stock Filarmonica scales in the right colors... None of that Baby Blue stuff though >.> I think the pearly white ones, and the earthy brown ones are fairly pretty... But I've never actually held them, so that's just an opinion formed on pictures.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

This questions doesn't make sense to me. what are you looking for?
Dovo versus Thiers Issard and Boker ?

Are you trying to compare their prices? you cannot?
similar to cars every year ,edition, style etc will be different.
Are you trying to compare steel quality? again not easy to do.
No one has enough dovo or TI or boker to make experiment or big enough Lab
to check them out and give to you fair answer.
Are you trying to compare sharpness? same answer You cannot.
Dovo has couple different price blades ,TI same and Boker too.
Some people will love Dovo others boker, rest TI.
    vs verse.

Yes, I agree with the others. Buy the one you like the look of, get it honed by someone that knows what they're doing, learn how to use it and "have fun". The rest is a bit ephemeral. Personally, I like vintage.

You really only get the same answer from each person, which is the one they like, some people answering haven't ever even tried more then 1 or two of any given brand...

You would have to ask those of us that actually see/hone/work on hundreds of razors, and guess what you are going to hear then.. same thing you pretty much heard already... Get the one that strikes your fancy...one of them will talk to ya... Myself I prefer the Brunette

I want to emphatically say here, that I still like the Brunette best
I have not been swayed in the last month +....
