Thread: what filly to buy?

I would buy my Fillys back in a split second if I had to. My Fil DT 13 and 14 are amongst the smoothest shavers I have. Like Gugi said the EPBD is a tad more hollow. I really enjoy shaving with them. Same with my Palmera.
They are supposed to be made from Toledo steel but who knows. One thing I do know, my sensitive skin loves them. I always recommend them if asked.Last edited by Maximilian; 02-10-2010 at 04:46 AM. Reason: typo

Thanked: 102I have a DT from Classic Shaving and an EPBD from Vintage Scents. I prefer the EPBD. It is probably the best razor I have ever used. I must admit I do not have a lot of expierence with a variety of razors. I shaved for thirty years with a Wonderedge and the EPBD is as good or better.

They're all good. It really depends on your size and point preference. I used to have one of CS doble temples mentioned. They're good, but I'd stick to the vintage Fillies, especially at that price point. When they used to sell for $99 or even after the price hike to $140, they were ok.
I have a few fillies, including some NOS ones, but my daily shaver for the past 6 months or so has been a 14 Novodur 8/8. It isn't pristine, but it is just so that I have not picked up anything else. I still have a NOS EPBD from Leon and a NOS 13 DT spike I picked up in Spain last October, both still wrapped and with original oil. Heresy, probably, but I haven't had the urge to hone them up yet.

What Filly to Buy?
Hello, everyone:
I have the #13 Doble Temple square point and she is a sweetheart. I even like the plastic off-gray scales.
Regards,
Obie
