    Default No More Reynolds

I am officially finished with Frederick Reynolds razors. For good. I will never hone another one. I hate them.

I've had a bunch that have really really hard steel. Couple that with the fact that I tend to buy wedges and you have yourself a serious honing nightmare. Every one has taken at least three times as long as I thought it would take.

I'd thought I'd sworn off Reynolds once before, but then I caved and bought one more. Never again.

I officially swear off honing Frederick Reynolds razors for ever!

I`ve just bought half a dozen off ebay i was thinking of sending to you for honing :P

most of them have some chips and a smile/frown so may well need a bit more work than normal :P

Holli, I don't agree with you.
Yes, many old wedges have a hard steel. But interest is here. It's fine to make such razor really useful for shaving. IMHO.

I thought I heard that somewhere before. Send them this way. Jr needs some more honing practice and to learn more patients while honing. I'm with Manah. They may be a PITA to hone but the results are GREAT! Lynn didn't seem to have any issues with the one he honed at the meet, and I saved that one just to see how he addressed it. Great job Lynn! Thanks. Back to the OP, I think it was the all Reynolds I honed the screwed up my hand! Love the shaves though.

Interesting.............., Because Frederick Reynolds is the one razor I absolutely cannot resist! I never met one I didn't like. I love them! They will produce one of the best shaves ever. Yes, the steel is great and very hard, but I have never had a problem honing them.
