I have four Fillys and all the old style but this reminds me of Case XX knives then and now. If you take Case Tested XX 1920-1940 and compare them to Case XX knives 1940-1969 the later you go the more you see a difference in style. After the dot models beginning in the 1970s the difference is even more dramatic. The earlier the more refined the lines and the grinding. The scales are beautiful. The current stuff is a pale imitation.

I once had a Winchester model 70 in 30-06 make in 1939. The workmanship on the metal and the stock was worlds ahead of the post war production. I guess the same in razors after a certain time period.
