Default I wanna make a point about a point about a point.

I been looking for a razor and am finding that the way it looks helps with my confidence. I am taking a liking to the Spanish points, not so much the rounded.

Do these points have a purpose other that looks and maybe confidence. I haven't used a straight yet but subconciously it seems like I would keep the Spanish point blade more even on the face as I visualize shaving with it.

So whats your favorite style of point?

I like the more aggressive and exotic points for their looks but truth be told I can get just as good a shave with a boring looking round point and I don't have to be quite as careful. OTOH, if you have a beard, goatee or a mustache a Spanish point is handy in doing detail work.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I like the look of the spike

but the square points of smiling edge razors suit my shaving style very well

Because the slight extension of the point and the fact that it is relatively squared off allows you to reach in to nooks and crannies that you couldn't do with a round point. At least not easily. IMO you can do close work more accurately with a point with a slight or more pronounced extension. Here are two examples to illustrate my point (no pun intended )

in my mislead and selfrigtheous opinion theres a big advantage that the edge ends at the same place as the blade for detail work

I find a french point allows me to get in under the nose easier.

A true spike is great for getting in to all kinds of areas for detail work but you have to be more careful with them because they can bite you. Otherwise all the other ends are pretty much decorative so it's a matter of what you like the best.

I think if a person were to have just one razor and knew they'd have a facial hair setup to work around that anything but a round-point or french would be good, maybe even a french, depends on their style. Round points are unappealing because they're like razors with permanent training wheels but people who may be lax when doing swipes along their ears, and I hear some areas of the neck, would probably appreciate the early-warning system and/or skin-pushing benefits of that safety feature. (a straight-edge safety razor!)

Probably more personal aesthetics than anything else. Mostly psychological. But if I were a "facial hair stylist" working on multiple people's face per day and had one tool available I'd probably use a square-tip for it's honesty.

Personally prefer the look and style of a french. That's what I picked.
