Something else to try is putting a little pack of silica gel in with the razor. This stuff sucks all the moisture out of the air, and should help with your tarnishing problems.

Does the razor sit out before you put it away? Wet scales will quickly rust the blade but that shoudn't be an issue if you're letting the razor sit open for over an hour after using it.

the black marks as they are now pose no real problem so i wouldn`t worry to much anout trying to remove them for now.

When i`ve finished shaving i rince the blade thoroughly to remove any soap ect.
i then dry it with some toilet paper. i make sure i run a bit between the scales to get rid of any water in there,

    i then strop the razor

then i wipe the blade with a drop of oil, (the oil i`m using was "aquired" from a beer factory and is "food safe" so i know it`ll be cool for my skin and should protect the razor)

the razor then goes into a leather pouch, and into a cupboard.
i only have a small house with little room to leave things laying around. so it has to go away asap. and this method works for me.

I was having problems with my razors spotting even if i dried them well. I used one of Lynn's tips and oiled them with mineral oil after i dried them well and I have had no more problems

Yea I'll try that mineral oil and drying it much better, leaving it out for a while. I'm guessing I just rub off the oil everday when I'm going to shave? Thank for the responses and help

Ive got the same razor and have been using it for nearly a year now with no stains. After use I dry it off, strop it then apply a coating of 3 in 1 oil. Every so often I put a couple of drops where the blade a scales meet. Then I store razor in a big cup on top of the cabinet in the bathroom. So far has worked for me. Thanks for your post.
