I've used both the Camelia oil and Tuf-Glide on my razors. Both work just fine, but a little Mineral oil will work just as well imho.

Until I got Camilia oil I used mineral oil. Not that I use oil on my razors... I got it for my kitchen knives It really is good stuff, thinner than mineral oil and comes off a hair easier I think. However it also costs a bit more so you have to decide what direction you want to go.
I have both on hand, but i use the mineral oil on the cutting boards and already mentioned the Camilia oil on the knives. I have yet to have problems with my razors rusting.

Thanked: 20I use peppermint oil on my razor when I'm not going to use one for a while. peppermint oil has an antiseptic quality as well as preventing corrosion.

Thanked: 124I like Renaissance wax. It seems to stick around pretty well and doesn't have to be applied all that often.

Prezdead,
+1 on TufGlide/TufCloth.
Leaves a dry film and has worked superbly on all my razors over the last eighteen (18) months. ( I live about fifty yards from the English channel in an old, cold, leaky Victorian house ).
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ
