Nice...Real nice. That razor appears to be a real beauty. Congratulations.

    Talking Shave test

I was so ticked about it after I got it polished up and honed.
This is by far my best deal so far.

You are right about the thin blade, I can't even see the bevel without my loupe. It took all of 8 minutes to hone up.

Decided I would shave test it. So I went through all the preshave and this thing shaves like a dream.
About half way through shaving I realized that I forgot to strop it on leather after I honed it. Just stroped it on the balsa hone with a little flitz and gave it 15 passes on denum. Oh well it still did a great 2 pass BBS shave.

Did you guys check out the hand hammered copper brush holder?

I know I did. That's beautiful. Razor too. I've got some wonderful blades for cheap at antique stores. My fav. two are my Wade and Butcher and my Thistle.

Splendid razor! Can't go wrong with a vintage Henckles, and yours is a fine, and sizeable, specimen. A keeper for sure.

Congrats on the razor and nice job on the brush stand. Very cool look. You should do up a wiki post on how you made it, lots of do-it-yourselfer's on this forum would love to know I'm sure.
