Thread: Less than common blade shapes...

I've been attracted to less standard blade shapes for the past couple years. One (see pic) has been haunting me from my early days of RAD and is still eluding me. Everytime I see one for sale I feel my heart skip a beat, plus they always seem to be more than I have available at that time

But alas I'm currious if others have a blade shape that stops them in their tracks if even for a minute. I know this probably follows closely with another recient thread, but I'm not talking about grails here I'm talking a shape, outline, even scale type, that stops you for a sec and gets you looking at it...

Yep.This one.Jimmy beat me to this one but I'm still hoping to get one someday.

Hell, wait until Bassguy comes along. Smile, you ain't seen smile, he has a full tooth showing lear of a razor.

I really don't have anything that is not conventional. These are as close to less common as I have:





And these are production razors, as is Bassguys, but his is radical in the extreme.

Well, this one doesn't stop me in my tracks because of its classy style. It's more like stopping in your tracks to look at a two-headed dog, a house fire or a car wreck. It ain't pretty, but it's hard to look away. This razor is marked Eggert Bros. Cutlery Co, Racine, Wisc. and was made in Germany. The blade has a sort of spatula effect being much narrower at the heel and a severely rounded toe. I don't believe it is a corn razor (I've had a number of them). Does anyone have any idea if there is a name for this design - - other than ugly?

Looks like a spatuzor or a spoonzor or something. Maybe for spreading icing on a cake. The real question is -- does it shave?

That's the one! The most unique blade I've seen. Also the only one I've ever seen. You may have to wait a long time.
