    Examining the "feinster silberstahl" Solingen, I noticed this. My razor used to be part of a 7 day razor set!

    "silver steel" was more or less a marketing gimmick, much like "Damascus steel" and "magnetic steel" was...

    Just a way to say "hey, my razor is better than that guys!"

    maybe they added .000001% gross weight of silver into their steel mix...and that made it so they could advertise it that way....

    Don't know about razors, but "Damascus Steel" was a very real type of steel. Made well it was amazing both in blades and in shotgun barrels. Made poorly, it was pretty awful. The real deal, however, was a work of art as well as function.
