Default Can These Razors Be Saved?

I picked up these two razors (attached picture) very cheaply (about $10 each) because the brands were on the "good" list and they seemed sound. I'm wondering if they'd be worth having professionally honed to use as shavers. I have other pictures and can take others if more detail is needed. I thought about using them to practice my honing, but it might still be good to get them done professionally so I can just enjoy them.

    I'd appreciate opinions, advice, etc.

I can't make out the brand on the lower one, but from the pics you have two nice shavers there, practically no hone wear ..
Make sure you do any polishing that you want before, you hone them or send them you don't wanna get them honed, then break out the polishing cloth...

    Default Thanks

Thanks for advice and encouragement. I will indeed do some polishing and I think I might send them out for honing since they seem worth it. I'd have two nice razors for under $40 each, not bad.

The bottom one is a Feinster Silberstahl, the second address line reads Solingen Garantie.

The bottom one reminds me a bit of some of the Revisors I have seen.

'Feinster Silberstahl' means 'Finest Silver Steel' in German.. (I think. My German is a little rusty) So it's not the maker of the razor. Nevertheless, it is a Solingen so it should be a decent razor.

    Nice find.

I have a razor nearly identical to the top one, but rescaled. It gives a very nice shave, and seems to have an easy edge to maintain.

Ouch. I've only spoken German for...40 years...used to be more fluent than I am now. It's humiliating to have missed that one!

I wonder what exactly "silver steel" is?

    Time for wikipedia...
