To muddy the waters a bit further... I have a 5/8 Union Razor Co. covered tang made in Tidioute PA. Any connection between this and the GA & NY companies?

I have to do some digging, but I am almost certain that I have a Union spike that's stamped with Georgia on the tang. I'll let you know if I find it.

My grandfather, Walter Cowart, owned the Union Razor Cutlery Co (sp?) in Union City GA.

He previously worked for Homer Gullatt there in the mail order razor business.

It is my favorite razor. Perfect steel and very good shaving.
