Looks to me like the scales are marked "DPRK" which would mean democratic peoples republic of Korea which is south. I lived there for a year. I could be wrong considering what the other markings are said to mean.

Um, Bulldog-DPRK is North Korea (not trying to be a smark-aleck, but the most brutal dictatorships often have the most egalitarian-sounding names: "Democratic" this or "People's" that). I didn't know they manufactured anything besides hot air and counterfeit US $100 bills (and maybe hair pomade and platform heels for "The Great Leader"-what a freakshow!).
There are many roads to sharp.

As I live in Hungary, which was a Kommunist Dictatorship before 1990, I know, that "Democratic People's Republic" actually means, that the Country have a Dictatorship, or it's a Kommunist country.
Before 1990 the official "title" of Hungary was Peoples Republic of Hungary, so belive me, it's from North Korea...
