If it is forged out of two pieces of metal, then wouldnt the cutting edge be two pieces also thus making it like 2 razors going over your face at the same time?

I can't believe that this is some sort of omission on the QC part.

Wait...wait. I can see it now. This is just the begining. Next we will see it with a third blade and a moisturizer strip in between them. We will name it The Straight Strip, for when shaving the skin off your face just isnt enough.

It looks like what the US Mint does sometimes by letting two coin blanks into the press. Perhaps what we're seeing is the guy running the press accidentally put two pieces of steel into the press and they were forged together through the tons of pressure used to press the blanks...

What I find weird is that it seems a more expensive way to produce razors: fusing/welding the two parts and then plating the blade.

I see no gain in this way of doing it and if there was one, I think they would advertise it.

If it's a freak occurrence, why plate it and not simply scrap it?

    Default My Kind 'O Shaver!

Great find, a crispy center with a chewy outer shell, my idea of great shaver, [and candy, by the way]

I agree it is very strange. I can think of no logical explaination for it.
