    Yup, the Weltmeister that I had was an awesome shaver. Mine was just the carbon version. Still, they made great razors.

    I totally agree. That is a collectable razor as is but will be just another ho hum if you take off the original scales. That is a rare razor - don't booger it up! Of course it is yours to do with as you please.

    ++1 on the previous posts. Otto Busch razors are top-notch. I have two--a rescaled Weltmeister (German) from Max and a World-Master (English/USA export version) from Ebay. You shouldn't have any problem using that razor on your face.
