    Yup, it's a Rolls Razor. They are actually pretty common to see (though in that shape they are not common - that is an excellent example), though I don't know how common their use is. They are single edge's what can be honed and stropped - some call them a straight on a stick, but I think SE is more accurate.

    If I'm not mistaken, Stimpy has one and really likes it. Maybe he'll chime in.

    I don't use mine often -- it makes me feel like I'm cheating on my straights -- but don't think for a moment that they aren't great shavers.


    If you decide to give it a try, just strop that new blade, don't try the hone at first, it probably doesn't need it. Pay attention to how it's packed, and never force the lid closed -- that's how these end up with cracked hones.

    They're not really valuable, still very plentiful -- why not give it a whirl?
    Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.
