Thanked: 81The razor was a Father's Day gift. I have shaved with it twice. My first impression is that it is very smooth shaver. Definitely in the same league as the Le Grelot 1/4 or the Hart. Also, I really like the slightly shorter blade. It is very manueverable.
I will post a more thorough review once I have a week or so under my belt. At this point, I am happy with it.

Tom,
Think it was your picture that got my mouth dribbling again for the Hayashi Diamond!
By the way, someone sent me a link a while ago about a place on Yahoo Groups that sold the Hayashi at a much better price than Rasurpur. I've lost the message and the link though - would be really grateful if that person could post it or send it to me again - thanks!

I've had one - It was actually from Jim. It was absolutely excellent. I think Martin's price is a bit high but bottom line is it is a great shaver, stiff grind and stiff steel. I would say it is 11/16 instead of 6/8 though.
