Thread: Current British Straight Razors???

It's a real shame that we dont produce razors anymore i'd love just to pop up the road to Sheffield and shop around but alas its all gone now

I did send an e-mail to Edwin Jagger about his straights but he said their straights are ordered in so it looks as if that's it for the UK. I understand 'Wade & Butcher' made nice British razors so i'll do a little search about for one of these. That way i'll have a nice cosmopolitan trio

I also had a good look; there are non left at all. Edwins J, Trumpers in London are all made in Germany now. I also spoke to some one in the know who told me they had asked around Sheffield and there is no one making them now.

An excellent opportunity for a small company in Sheffield I would say, I have seen ST8s in surgical catalogues before now, I will make some enquiries were they are made and by whom.

So thanks to this forum i managed to find a vintage British straight razor. Looking forward to trying it thanks Brando!
