    Default Some antiques store finds...

My wife and I went antiquing some time back, and I picked up four str8s which I thought looked in pretty good shape. If you have an info on them, let me know.
The first one is a Kron Punkt 36 with black scales. I think it has a un-used blade, at least I don't see any honing marks.
The second one is an Imperial with tortoise scales, also pretty good looking.
The Boker's scales are looking a bit used, and the blade is a bit darker than the others.
The last one is a Prima Soligen, it is the "Saturday" razor of a 7-day set, and the day is engraved on the spine, and has "Soligen" embossed on the scales.

You picked up some really nice razors. Even the ones with a patina can be polished to look almost new.

    Great finds!

I've got a Prima like yours and they are phenomenal shavers. That Boker won't disappoint either.

    Love that Boker!

I can't tell decisively from the photo, but I think the scales are hard rubber, in which case there is a way to get them back to jet black...the thread is on here somewhere, but I don't have it offhand. Give them a hard rub and you should be able to tell by the smell if they're actually rubber.

I check on the scales tonight, maybe just buffing will bring the nice look back. You could be right with Ebonite, i.e. Hardrubber, as I have another Boker which has those scales, just with some ornamentation.

Nice finds! All should make great shavers. A little Maas on that Boker or maybe some buffing and it will be a looker.

What a terrible thing to say to a razor!!! Some of us like to see a razor in it's true colors and without a facelift...heck, they are OLD razors
