The Fox stamp with Tally Ho means it was made by F. Fenney. That's a keeper!

Thanks all! I have a number of junkers to try my hand on before messing with this one. Can't believe I got it at the price I did, but maybe it had something to do with completely trashed wood scales?

How do the fenney's compare to Wosty's?

The trademark Tally-Ho was used by Frederich Fenney, 1824-1852.
After 1852, several companies used this trademark: Geo.Wostenholm, C.T.Bingham, Samuel Fox & Co.
How do the fenney's compare to Wosty's?
    Both are great Sheffield makers.

    Wink

Saw one today at the antique store for 25.00 . It need some work but it had that distinctive pipe logo.Personally not attracted to those spike points though.I prefer rounder edges and I'm in search of somthing with a notch.I was telling a buddy today about finding deals in antique shops and he was skeptical till We hit about a dozen or so. The most expensive straight I saw was about 28.00. some things are still good in this world after all. Nice find there. Congrats. Manah I just looked @ Strazor.com ......Outstanding site, thank you for putting that up.It helps me know what to look for in the antique shops. Even better..I may buy one of you're restores...either way, very nice site, glad I found ya.

I've got 2 Wostenholms in my growing collection and they are both wonderful shavers. One is a frameback and the other a 5/8 half hollow with a smiling blade. They shave better than alot of razors that I paid 5x the price for.
