My wife similarly got me a Mappin Lancet razor for my birthday, even though she's quite sure I'm a little 'off' using such a thing.
And just think, someday you might get to pass it on as well.

I got what Quicknicker was saying and found it quite nice and not a thread jack.

I think my grandmother gets it way more then my wife does probably as this was the way it was done in her day. My wife on the other hand thinks I am a bit strange and does not get the whole ritual that I have now and why I enjoy it so much. My son allready plans on shaving with a SR and says he will use a big one. He is 5 now so I can one day teach him and pass on a razor that was given to me by his great grandmother.

Joed I plan on getting it honed by Lynn I sent my Torrey out to him today and he did my first razor as I bought it from SRD.

I don't see it. Point is, the guy has a nice Grandmother, and a nice razor on the way. I wish him the best with both. If I think I need proofreading/editing I guess I know where to go.

I was in no way referring to your post, I agree completly with what you said. I should have been more clear.........my reference to threadjacks was just a reflection on how a good theme was interupted by mention that the razor could have been bought somewhere else for less money and continued on moving away from the message I thought the originator was passing along. I thought that was a touch off topic simply out of respect for the obvious best intentions of a wonderful Grandmother.

Well I just got the razor back from Lynn wow he can make a razor sharp. So I did my normal prep and shaved with the new razor and what a great shave. I think this is my new favorite razor. I had seen someone call these wisher annihilators and were they ever right it just glides right through the beard.
