Thread: Select Your 7-Day Set

I would keep my 7 day set of Gem's, a Dovo Bismark, my Harris Goar(made in KC) and I would have a most difficult time settling on the last razor. Should I choose by grind, nationality, point, bling, etc? Therein lies the rub!

This is a fun idea. I pick my razors for the week on Sunday and rotate through my razors one a day, for about 3 weeks. If I had to pick 7 for a seven-day set for, say, a long trip like I took in June (3 weeks in Israel) I think I'd take:

Day 1-Dovo Bismarck 6/8, red scales
Day 2-Robeson Shur Edge with orange scales
Day 3-Bismarck "Registered" NOS White Scales
Day 4-Dubl Duck Special #1 First razor that I honed that shaved great, still does!
Day 5-Solingen "Thursday" engraved razor
Day 6-Torrey 5/8 White Scales
Day 7-Dovo Best with Tortoise Scales

3 For Short trips:
Dovo Best Black 6/8
Dovo Best Blonde
Boker Baby-I always like to have a small straight, this one purchased from holli4pirating is a jewel!

Seeing I only save every other day I would only need 3 razors for a 7 day set.

travel: since I carry on most of my items this will have to be a DE razor handle so I can pick up blades where ever I go to.

This is actually my current setup too as I have started to take a minimalist approach to everything in my life to clear out the clutter in my home and life.

Tue - Restored Wade and Butcher 7/8 Barbers Notch
Wed - Le Grelot Hospital 5/8 French point
Thu - Flarmonica 7/8 round point
Fri - Fridour 8/8 Spanish point
Sat - Dovo with solid one piece MOP scales
Sun - Mastro Livi new grind


Travel - Gabor Buddel 6/8 Damascus, French Point with mammoth scales.
