Default Help me choose a razor for $275

Ok, I got about $275 to spend on a new razor.

My thoughts so far are the Hart, or Dorko??

    Maybe another 1/4 grind Wacker.
    I have a 7/8 Friodur also that I love??

I want to know if I am missing something. What else is out there that I am missing?

I just placed an order for a 13/16 Wacker 70 Year Jubiläums-Rasiermesser Mod.4 Old Sheffield. It was has a hard choice between that and the Hart.
The 7/8 Dorko 1151 Round Point - blond buffalo horn is nice also

So many choices, so little money

I just recently purchased a Hart and a Wacker Mod. 4. I purchased the Hart with the plastic scales and I am very happy with it.

I really like both of these razors and they are in your price range, but I would say without a doubt, get the Hart. To me the craftsmanship is head and shoulders above the Wacker as my Wacker has some issues. The scales are warped, scratched and one side is larger than the other. The Hart, however, is flawless.

In addition, the Hart comes in a wood box with a leather sheath. These are just small touches, but they add to the value in my opinion.

My last shave with my Hart was the best I've had so far. I will be purchasing another. I say, go for the Hart!
