Kudos for gssixgun
I don't know how to write a proper review, but let me
say this. I just received a set of 3 razors from Glen, and
here's what I wrote to him today:
Glen....The parcel arrived at the island post office today. It took awhile for it to get here,
but it was well worth the wait!
As soon as I got the package open, I marvelled at the beauty and craftsmanship of the
razors. And I couldn't wait to shave with one of them.
So, I lathered up, wiped the oil off the blade (no stropping) and preceeded to shave.
I must tell you that it was the smoothest and closest shave that I've ever had in my 40+
years of shaving with a straight razor!
After I dried off and applied some Old Spice (no irritation or burning, by the way),
I asked my wife to "check this out". Now, my wife is Tongan, English is her second
language, and she is totally unfamiliar with SRP jargon. And guess what she said:
"Oh! It's like a baby's bottom!" There's a testimonial for you!
The razors are superb, the shave was truly outstanding, and I can't thank you enough!
All the best from the Friendly Islands,
Paul

Sounds like a good shave!
Glen is a true gent and a skilled craftsman. Every razor he posts here seems to somehow be better than the last. I always find myself thinking "Yeah, thats sweet, he'll never top that..." and then along comes the next one..!

Good day, indeed
Thanks, Mick. Yeah it was a good day.
What an experience!
Whatever I have been doing to keep my razors sharp,
simply pales in comparision to what Glen is doing.
To experience the sharpness and smoothness of one
of his razors is a humbling experience.
I'm impressed!

Thanked: 13245Thank you Paul for the glowing report from across the ocean
I have to admit I Google Mapped Tonga "The Friendly Islands"
For the curious, the razors were a 3 day set of A. Kastors in Smoke-n-Ash acrylics...The honing progression was Norton 1-4-8-B/G Escher-15 laps on CeOx and linen/leather stropping... Much of the smoothness of the edge goes to those old farts that made the razors in the first place though
