Thanked: 9There is another active thread from a member who has had problems with wet scales leaving water spots on the blade. The chalk is an interesting solution. A jar of chalk to drop your razor in for a couple hours before putting away would eliminate any moisture that the scales may have absorbed. Lynn was mentioning that wooden and horn scales are notorious for holding moisture. Chalk is cheap and readily available. Might need to refresh once a month.

What good are these test if everybody who buys a factory fresh Dovo claims the can't shave with them? Be careful with chalk it is mined very near to asbestos deposits and may be harmful. They don't use them in schools for this reason. Rice might be a better choice. Just throwing it out there.
