It's not that it's too far gone but it's not a job for a beginner unless you like to experiment and have a knack for adapting to new challenges.

Really you need to decide what side you will be shaving with. That's the first order of business probably.

Now I am curious, what are the basic criteria, pros and cons, of which side of the razor you choose to shave with?

Or is it just Six of your left hand, Half a dozen of your right?

No pros or cons. Many here feel they should shave with one side and some others feel you should shave with the other and each has reasons for it.

This has been discussed at length here in previous posts. I try to stay away from this issue.

thanks for all your help guys when it comes i will get better close ups of it on and use could point me in the right way as to what i will do to clean it up contacted a few folk here in the uk that i hope will restore it to a wee bit better condition
