    There were three that used the Maltese cross over GB. Someone mentioned Alfred Field. Also Brittain,Wilkinson & Brownell, and Edward Gem. Unfortunately, none of these include an anchor, which is a fairly significant part of the trademark.

    That's correct. It is the middle of the page, with one razor above, and below. The section is describing 1820- 1830 razors. I had quite a discussion with an experienced collector about this razor. He didn't believe it belonged in this decade. I can't wait to find out who made it, and when.

    I'm just guessing here, but I imagine that the G.B. means Great Britan and the anchor means it was something to do with the navy. The short tail wasn't broken off, but originally made in that old style.

    Whatever it turns out to be it sure is huge and old.

    Just in case it helps, here is a look at the grind.

    I think it's obvious from the hone marks that it isn't a full wedge, but I think it definitely falls into the near wedge category.
