Thanked: 30It looks like a microtome to me. Is it ground on both sides or just the side with all but 1 of the pics? I am just curious the pic angle is deceiving me.

I'd say the G B stands for Great Big. Or maybe Glorious Blade.

Here is the info I hunted up along with some additional conversation regarding this "GB" mark that should be a good read. again, all theory no proof, but, a possibility nonetheless - the GB may stand for George Brittain

Could be you're thinking of British Hallmarks. Never heard of such a system for razors.
