    Default Recommendations?

So... Only a few weeks into the world of using a straight (although have been going to the barber for a long time), and I'm loving every bit of it and absorbing information like a sponge. Birthday is coming up and looking to add a new piece to my fledgling collection.

My current lone shaver is a Dovo "Special" 5/8. Love it.
I also have just picked up an old Genco Easy Aces as an future restoration project.

I'm looking at the following razors for a birthday gift to myself (all from SRD):

    1. Boker Edelweiss 5/8
    2. Boker King Cutter 5/8
    3. Dovo Bismark 6/8

    Any recommendations?
Is there a large difference in weight and feel between the 5/8 I currently use and the 6/8 of the Bismark?
Lastly, SRD states that the Bokers have a Spanish point, but the only one that actually looks like a Spanish point is the Celebrated - so are the Edelweiss and King Cutter indeed both round points?

Thanks for any advice or info that can be provided.

    Default dovo

I persionaly have only ever used my W&B vintage razor but i have heard lots of great things about the dovo 6/8, but to each his own and if you ask three diffrent guys which razor is best you will probly get three diffrent answers.

I can only speak for myself. I would get one of the Bokers simply because you already have a Dovo, and its nice to have a variety of makers.

That said, my 2nd razor (my first being a Dovo) was the bismark. I just love the curves of it (the shoulderless version), and it is a great shaver as well.
