Default help me identify this razor

so i found this razor on craigslist and it was a good score i beleive being only 15 dollars. came with the original box and the razor itself has no pitting, but it does have a few very minor surface rust spots. and so i dont get bombarded with people asking for pics here is the razor i just got today and the one ive been shaving with for the past few weeks now.

ive been trying to figure out if its a good idea to take it apart and try to restore it to where it is usable. i was also thinking of making some of my own scales out of red oak with a nice glossy polyurethane clear coat on it. i would feel bad if i later found out that its worth some money or something. just dont wanna ruin what could be.

Nice razor! If it's usable as it is I would leave it and make scales for something that really needs them. Then when you are good at it you can rescale the razors that don't really need and be happy with the results.
