my first four solingen straight razors
hi all i got a few razors well four of them from ebay and i'm very pleased with wot i have got, i'm new to straight razor use and collecting and have read the pros and cons of buying on ebay, the seller described them as unused but displayed slight signs of storage on the scales and when they arrived i inspected them and they all look shiny with a real sharp edge witch took hairs off my arm and as for any damage one has got a lose pin at the pivot and there are a few very light scratches on the scales. all said and done i gave good feedback and would buy from him again. i was planning to post pics form the seller as i dont have a camera but cannot seem to be able to upload them keeps failing to upload? so here are the descriptions: 5/8 Gebr. Lützenkirchen Solingen 1015 Seehund with a seal symbol and wood effect scales. :- 5/8 Rich Abr Hender solingen 326 with white scales. :- 5/8 1a silberstahl garentie solingen with a dark redish mottled transparent scale. :- 4/8 KUKRI garentie solingen with a carved spine work with a blue grey swirl scales. all of these razors have a round edge blade. i think with a little polish and a good strop they will be ready to shave with.

Try uploading your pictures again in a day or so. If you are still having problems send me a PM. The SRP staff is performing some upgrades.
As for your razors, congrats on your score. Consider yourself lucky. Many a new and seasoned EBay buyers get less than they expect. If you desire to shave with your newly acquired razors with just a stropping and are satisfied with them, good for you. After using them for a while send one of them to a professional razor honer to see if there is a difference. I'd be surprised if you didn't notice an improvement. Again, congrats on your score.“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Very nice!! You did really good. Those razors do look like they were never used. I hope you get many years of comfortable shaves out of them.

That is only the second Seehund I have ever seen. The other one sits in my shave den,a gift from a former member. Enjoy the shaves!

arrival today
hi all, the J A Henckles Zwillingswerk 1177 along with the K H W 95?? i still havnt got a clue about this one its got no reverse stamps! if anybody knows who made it or where its from will be much appreciated, i got it because of the condition and the spike! they came today, a little tarnish but nothing major with light hone ware on the henckles and none as far as i can tell on the K H W, the scales are clean and virtually unmarked and the pins are tight on both. another ebay snag, that makes two. awaiting the delivery of the third the keenkutter witch is the one thats pro honed fingers crossed third times a charm
