The grinds are not the same on all the razors. I know the DT is different from the EBPD, but I cannot remember the differences. I do believe someone posted end on shots somewhere, but I doubt I could find it if I tried.

Doble Temple actual xlation is twice tempered
Sub Cero actual xlation is below zero
Especial Para Barbas Duras actual xlation is Special For Hard Beards
Medallon Taurino actual xlation is Bull Medallion
Especial= special (ding! ding! ding! ding! )
Novodur... well, that's not Spanish, but I gather Novo = Neo and dur(o) = har(d). Now, Neohard doesn't mean anything to me, per se, but it could indicate a new method of tempering or new kind of steel that is, well, harder. As someone mentioned it was meant for professional barbers one could conclude a harder steel would wear longer under heavy use.
This is, of course, just conjecture.

All of the MTs I've had have been less hollow than the others....so if you like heavy grind, go for that.

Thanks Holli4, that was me, in post #9 of this thread. It was specifically about differences between the #14 Doble Temple and Especial Para Barbas Duras models.
