    Default Filarmonica straights

    I'm starting to take interest in Filarmonica razors but I can't seem to find a good site that details the characteristics of each model

    Does anyone know where I can find this info?
    like what exactly does a Filarmonica 14 consist of and how is that different than a Filarmonica 13?

    The numbers on the Filarmonica blade just refer to the size. A 14 is considered 7/8" (actually most are close to 8/8" when new). The #13 is 6/8" and #12 is 5/8". There are several differant models which vary mostly is finish quality (Doble Temple, Novodur, Sub Cero, Especial Para Barbas Duras, Medallon Taurino, Especial) The Novodurs and EPBD generally sell for more money as they as less common and considered higher quality, although every Filarmonica I have owned has been superb.

    keep it coming if you have more

    so...

    Doble Temple = double temper
    Sub Cero = cryo treated
    Especial Para Barbas Duras = for heavy beards
    Medallon Taurino= bull fight series
    Especial= special

    but what does Novodur mean?
