I bought a second hand copy off eBay. I don't think much would have changed in the last couple of years. It only cost $9.99 postage from the US to Australia which is less than most straights I buy.

Thanked: 2It wouldn't generally be legal in the UK because of copyright. But we have an exemption for education reasons. I'm sure that could be argued in light of how we'd use it ;-)

I am not certain how the copyright law in UK differs from the US, but in US the exception for education would most certainly not cover you. I've used that provision many times but it generally requires limited scope of the material to be copied and face to face instruction.
Here's the relevant part of the law: U.S. Copyright Office - Copyright Law: Chapter 1

My advice is to just buy the book and have it shipped. I paid more for two tickets to "The Fighter" , two small popcorns and a Cherry Coke last night.

FWIW, I remember seeing it on used book sites and on the bay for big $ before Knife World did the reprint. Running copies of individual pages is probably not an issue if it is for your own personal use but if you disseminated the material either commercially or otherwise it could be problematic due to the copyright issue. Having the hard copy of the published book is a better alternative IMHO.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
