Worth to buy!?
I found this razor on eBay, and somebody tell me, is this worth to buy?
This is a A 13/16” Sheffield Army Straight Razor by J. Heiffor *#

Do you understand the term ''SUBJECTIVE?''
Is it worth to buy? What a question. That would depend upon so many variables that the reader could never answer that question from your point of view.
If I didn't already have more razors that plates to eat off, the price was 'right,' its purchase wouldn't impair my bills, there wasn't someone's birthday coming up etc, then yeh, I'd consider buying it, why not. Its not a bad looking razor, neither is it an inferior brand.

Look, Scipio, I only put the question here is it worth to buy this razor or not, and is this a good razor, nothing else.
So, there is no needs yell on me via message and depreciate someone who is sciolist of razors.

If you'd read about razors here, or even looked around the site, you'd see that razors made in Sheffield (as this one is) are generally very good shavers.
Or simply googled the brand http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...n-heiffor.html

Thanked: 65Heiffor razor
In Doyle's first edition of 1980 when common razors were listed at $1.00 value the Heiffor was listed at $10.00. Krulmholz said they were SCARCE. I do not know how they shave but I do not have one in my collection of near 500. I would buy it if the price was right.

Blade has some pitting. It looks like it was restored. No pitting near the edge. Edge seems OK.
If you don.t mind the pitting it's worth to buy.
There's only pics of one side of the blade. Just make sure you know how the other side looks before you bid.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.

I understand your request and also that the Queen's English is not necessary to do so. I understand that you are in Croatia and you do not use English primarily. Your question would obviously mean "Is this razor worth buying?" and not a question of value. I have this razor. It is SUPER heavy! I managed to get a fine edge on it and it really blows hair off! Great steel.(and HEAVY!) I like mine!

Thanked: 3795This forum does not do appraisals, so your question of "worth" would not appropriate, but since you made no mention of a price associated with it, Scipio was correct in declaring it to be a subjective question.
Is it a good razor? Yes, it is clean, has uniform spine wear and a nice smile, and has perfectly good scales. There is some pitting that affects its aesthetics but not its function.

From the backround it looks as if thats a razor offered by Taylors 1000. Tony does an excellent job of describing the razors' condition and every razor I have gotten from him has been exactly as described. As far as value, it hasn't been determined yet if the price is not known. I find Sheffield razor great smooth shavers.
