Hi Al!

An old friend asked me to see what I could do about cleaning up his fathers razor and possible honing it so that he could use it. Now first and foremost, I don't have a digital camera! I'll try to be as detailed as I can.

My friends dad would have been about 80-85 years old today.

On what I would refer to as the Backside it says Hibbard Spencer. Below that it says Bartlett & Co. The other side has three Large Capital letters of;OVB over that is an oval and in that oval it says; Our Very Best. There is no country of origin.

The scales are rather unique in that there is only a pivot pin and the very small wedge at the toe end seems to have been glued as there isn't a pin. The scales are ivory colored with a vine running the length with a wreath in the middle. The are some sort of synthetic.

The blade is a square point hollow ground 5/8's as best as i can measure!

If anyone can help me identify my friends razor it would be very much appreciated!
