There is a champion in a local antique store that could use a light resto, but it is shorter in length with a longer than normal tang from the factory. I believe it to be around 6/8. PM me and I'll get you in contact.

Thanked: 18There are, what I believe are called "Corn" razors. They're ordinary straight-razors but like half the size. Or alternatively you could just search for a razor that's been chopped in half. Some people do that when the toe of the razor is trashed and they turn them into spike-points.

Thanked: 20Thanks for the information and help guys, I really appreciate it. I'm a bit leery about anything on Ebay, you never know what it is in reality until you get it and find out it isn't what you thought it was.

04-17-2011, 02:11 AM #6A friend showed me his collection of razors and in amongst them all he had a short blade that was about 2 inches or 2 1/4" in length.
I liked the feel of the shorter length and was wondering if anyone could point me in a direction where I might perhaps find one. I have looked and looked but have been unable to find a shorter length straight razor. If anyone knows a particular brand or where I might find one that would be awesome!
Regards
Louis.

Chris, I own one . It is Marked "Viener Schauber" (Vienna Scrapper). I believe it is made by Whacker. The cutting edge length is 2 3/8" and the blade width is 4/8". It is a shoulderless grind and has a French point. I will look for a picture and post it if I find it.

Here you go Chris, keep in mind I'm no a photographer. Fully open 8 1/2", closed 5 5/8", & from tip of blade to tip of tang 5 1/8". Is this what you are talking about?
