I also have an Art of Shaving 20min from me in Schumburg IL, I looked at there razor before I went with my Dovo. I hate to call there razor bad... but it was bad. The sales man told me it was basically a Dovo and they are made the same way but then I picked it up and looked at it "it was not even close".

The pins barley help the blade up and it was very sloppy. The wood did not look the same and the color did not have a good finish to it. The metal even looked a bit off "mine has a nice stain smooth look, there was chrome" Even the case it came it was more of a box, but the odd thing is they wanted more $$$ then the dovo cost me.

yeah, woodfield mall. i was told that one actually is a dovo.. the only reason it doesn't have the same blade design is because 'art of shaving' i think pays extra to have their logo etched on the blade. and yeah the blade is a little loose in the pins, but i never felt it was sloppy, i thought it actually moved quite nice. but i wasn't planning on buying it from them anyway, i like the dovo blade.

My wishlist is long.

My ultimate razor:

• French Point
• 6/8
• Worked spine
• Patterned jimps
• Antler scales (from a deer/elk I killed)

Outside of that, my "wishlist" is pretty wide-ranging:

• 7-Day Set
• All German "7-Day Set" cobbled together by me
• A Case (because Bradford PA isn't too far)
• Pretty much any new German blade

I'm a simple man at heart, so my wish list may look pedestrian to most, but...

-An old wedge, a hundred years old if possible.
-A Dubl Duck Satinedge with original scales.
-The Green Faery. Nuff said.

Since these are not that outrageous, I stand a good chance, I think, of getting either or both of the first two sometime this year.
