No kidding about posting live auctions on SRP, lest I want 30,000 SR users to see my secret find...but in this case, when I posted it, it was already out of my price range

Still partial to my W&B Feather Edge...like having a full hollow with the heft of a wedge. Yum. =)

I've got a "The Celebrated Extra Hollow Ground Razor" Wade & Butcher, and boy does it shave nice!! Golden scales and full 5/8 width blade with double stabilizer, low tang wear, and "hot and cold running chamber maids" ... well.. all but the last *LOL*
Clean and close. I have also bought a J.A. Henckels one time recently that was mis-spelled in the listing. Had it as a Henckles razor and I was the only one that bid on it.

This is the holy grail of the razors I have on my wish list and I can't wait till I have one in my hands. I have not seen too many up for sale or auction so I expect them all to go for this or higher when they do. Unfortunately for me if the wife knew I paid that much she would kill me with it.

I guess my $30 Wade and Butcher was an absolute steal then! Its a post 1890, and doesn't have the barbers notch like that one, but still... Makes me feel better

I have two of the meat chopper barbers use W&B's. I'm really starting to get into some of their cooler model. I think the old sheffield companies started making some pretty unique razors. I have a rodgers that is bizarre and beautiful. I have a short WB with a nice thick worked back, a double concaved, a masonic wedge, and this other near wedge that has an awesome spine. I'll try to find a pic of a similar one.

I have had many W&B's pass through my hands, shaved with many too. For me personally, the best shave I get from any W&B is my extra hollow ground 'The Celebrated'. I also have a very hollow ground 'For Barbers use'. Amazing 2 razors.

I'll agree on this. I've shaved with many of the W&B's and the Celebrated Extra Hollows are indeed the best ones I've used.

I have two that are a bit harsh right after beinig honed. As it has been spewed a thousand time here...it's all about personal preference. I really think I'm starting to like quarter hollows the best.
