Thanked: 2The Perfect Wade & Butcher
Has anyone seen such a prime example of this brand? I thought for sure I would win it 3 days ago when I put down a 110.00 bid secretly into my snipe account, but I can't pay 174.00 for this razor. But I love it so!

Great looking razor but they come up for sale more than you may think, not always in the same condition tough. On the other hand, the big choppers typically fetch prices just as fat as the blade so be prepared!

Thanked: 2It ended up going for $310 I think. But if money was no option like some of these old timers that collect these things *sigh* I'm sure I'd buy it too. I just hope that when the big collectors expire, their wives put their prizes back on ebay...

Bid low and bid often. That was a piece of advice given to me some time ago, and it's worked well thus far. Oh, and don't post live auctions on SRP, unless you want to see them go way up.

This and look for mislabeled auctions. I picked up that exact same razor (8/8 celebrated Barber's Use) for $10 this past week. Granted it didn't have scales, but nothing I can't make myself. Sure it will never be worth as much as a totally original piece, but if all you are after is the razor for shaving and not collecting, who cares if the scales aren't original.
