Default Ok ok, I get the point!

Hah! Sound advice everyone and point well taken. I should have known better than to ask straight razor fanatics about getting RID of a razor.

I too would have suggested that you keep both, but you had mentioned that you already had another razor. You can get by just fine with two razors. You can always sell your first razor instead, or keep all three. Both of those shown have the potential to be nice shavers.

The Brummel-Werk appears to be in slightly better shape, but I know nothing about either of these razors. I'm sure either will be a nice step up from my entry-level razor. What do you guys think?
Since you have two I would make the point that if you work on cars you
need a second car to go and get parts. Or a local friend.

Pick the one you like best. Both blades look almost equal so
I would pick the one with scales you like best and hone it
    or have it honed.

At some point in the future you will begin to want
to refresh hone your shaver. This is when having
a second "shaver" has value. You can use the other
razor so you have a sharp well honed edge to shave with
while your #1 razor is in the mail or on the bench.

I also like to shave with a pair of razors. I save the
second razor for a touch up and finish to my shave.
My whiskers tend to dull razors quickly and some days
it improves my pleasure to switch razors for the last
pass. I could strop the razor and finish but
a second razor makes life easy for me.

And, some days I never use the second blade but it
    is handy just in case.

    +1 Utopian's advice.
    Hone them both.
    Use and evaluate them both.
If you like one more than the other use it more than the other.

Edit: Two razors is heaven, three luxury.
If you cannot handle the luxury... sell the extra
or gift it to someone that "needs" it.

I'd keep both but if it were absolutely necessary to pick one I'd choose the Brummel!

I have a Kama... it is not too shabby. I would personally go for a second Kama based on
my first if I could not shave test them both. Go figure...

You only ever need just one more razor. So instead of getting rid of one, put it away in a draw for a few months. When you forget that you have it you will start thinking about getting another. Then remember that old razor you have stashed away. It will be a siridipitous re-discovery.

I would say that is as true as it gets, the money you get for either one wont be enough to replace it,and you will need more than one razor-Thats a fact, and since there both nice Utopian hit it right on the head, shave with both and see which you like better, but that wont be easy

I think you should sit down, keep reading and let RAD take over. There won't be any decision to be made then... at least about keeping one or the other.

Since you seem like a nice guy, send me the one you don't like and I'll hold it and care for it for you until you realize you need it back. That should take about a week of light reading around here, so ship it overnight delivery. I'll pay return postage.

    Go ahead. I'll wait.
