Thanked: 1262The lady has the longer handle which I think makes it a bit easier. If you end up liking the derby blades, you can usually find 100 of them for ~$8

Thanked: 275For a very mild new, inexpensive DE razor consider the Weishi. It's aluminum, costs about $12 (including shipping) delivered from Hong Kong. From eBay,

I use it with Feather blades. You have to keep the razor at the right angle to your skin. Otherwise, you don't get any blade contact. That's the trade-off for "very mild".

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. I think I'm going to aim for a slim. Any idea what a reasonable price for one is in decent shape?

Not sure how this works with SRP conduct rules...but, FWIW they're like straights. They're all over the board, some really cheap and great deals, some really cheap and trashed, some reall nice and therefore more pricey, and some really pricey and not so nice. Spend what you feel comfortable spending on a razor you feel comfortable giving to your daughter.
