Great looking shelf, I like the idea and may also plagarise the design.

Thanked: 0Guys I am tickled that you like it enough that you would use the design. The one thing I will change on the next one that you might want to think about. For the upper support drill a series of 1/2" holes down the center of the piece then rip it or cut down the middle then you will not have the problem I did if one of the razors is a little wider than the others. Good luck lets see the pics of what you build.

Just my paranoid preference, but the razors I use are only in the bathroom during the time I'm actually using them. After that they are cleaned and stored away from the bathroom.

Thanked: 0You know I am fairly new to the straight razor family but I have been making and storing knives for as long as I can remember and I have never had a problem with one rusting if it is kept clean and dry. Now I may regret this statement after a while but so far I have not had a problem. Now I am also pretty good about keeping an eye on my hunting knives especially the carbon steel blades, I polish them with mothers occasionally and they are all fine. Like I said before I have great ventilation in my bathroom never even had the mirror fog up so I will take my chances. Now their is no way I would store them in my daughters bathroom as the mirror drips with moisture after she showers.

Thanked: 240I like it a lot I may need to copy it myself. Although mine will have to be in the bedroom away from humidity and little hands.
